Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms govern your use of ER7 Studio (the "Software"), a desktop application (Windows installer; an install package for macOS and Linux) that runs AI agents on your computer. By installing or using the Software you agree to these terms.

1. License

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software. The Free plan may be used without time limit. Every feature of the Software is available on every plan; on the Pro plan ER7 AI runs with no limits and you get access to the stronger model. For the first 7 days after first launch a device receives a one-time trial ER7 AI budget. A Pro key may be activated on up to three computers; limits are shared per key. Previously purchased plans (Max, Business, own key, Lifetime) keep working on their own terms.

2. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and Pro (or a previously purchased Max) remains active until the end of the paid period, then Free applies.

3. Your responsibility

AI agents act on your instructions and may modify files on your computer. You are responsible for reviewing their actions, keeping backups and making sure the tasks you give agents are lawful. The Software asks for permission before risky actions depending on the access mode you choose.

4. Third-party services

The Software uses third-party components (see THIRD_PARTY.txt). The ER7 server runs on a model from a third-party provider, so its availability may depend on that provider.

5. Disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including data loss.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Privacy Policy

ER7 Studio runs locally on your computer. Your files, chats, memory and settings are stored on your device. Data leaves your device only in the cases described below.

What is sent to third parties

Task text and the content of files that an agent reads are passed through the ER7 server to a third-party AI model provider solely to generate responses. The provider may process this data outside the EU. ER7 does not store the content of requests: technical logs keep a shortened device identifier, the plan, the token count and the response time, and, when a limit is hit, the IP subnet. Do not give agents data that must not be shared with third parties.

AI limits

To count ER7 AI limits (per day, week and month) and the trial budget, the ER7 server keeps cost counters per license key hash or device identifier and, on the Free plan, also per IP address and subnet, plus the device's first-launch date (up to one year). Counters are deleted automatically once their period ends (up to 33 days); new-device markers (for abuse protection) are kept up to 90 days.

Voice

Speech recognition runs locally on your computer. To read a reply aloud, the Software may send its text to Microsoft's online speech service (Edge TTS, or Azure Speech if configured); without internet an offline voice is used.

Phone access

If you turn on phone access, the connection between your phone and computer goes through a secure Cloudflare tunnel. Our server stores the tunnel address so that the QR-code link opens your computer.

License checks and trial

When you activate Pro, the Software sends your license key, purchase email and an anonymous device identifier to our license server to verify the subscription; the list of activated devices is stored in your subscription data at Paddle. For the trial we store a hash of the device identifier and the first-run date. The Software contains no trackers or behavioural analytics.

Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. We receive your email, country and subscription status from Paddle; we never see your card details. The Paddle checkout script is loaded on the website only after you click Buy.

Support and website

Messages from the support form (name, contact, text) reach us via Telegram and may be stored in Vercel storage; chats with the support bot take place in Telegram. If the website shows Google AdSense ads, Google may use cookies under its own policies.

Processors

Vercel (hosting of the website and the ER7 server, storage; counters via Upstash), GitHub (app downloads, trial registry, phone-access addresses), a third-party AI model provider, Paddle (payments and licenses), Cloudflare (phone access), Telegram (support), Microsoft (text-to-speech), Google (website ads, if enabled).

Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of the data we hold about your license by contacting us.

Refund Policy

If a paid ER7 Studio plan does not work for you, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. Refunds are handled by Paddle: reply to your Paddle receipt email or use the subscription portal. After a refund the license is deactivated and Free applies. Renewal payments can be refunded within 14 days if the paid plan was not used after the renewal.
